Gaudete Brass Quintet

The Gaudete Brass Quintet (GBQ) joined New Music School as Artist Faculty - Brass Quintet in Residence in Fall of 2009. GBQ teaches private lessons to NMS students of all ages, presents educational seminars, coaches quintets, and performs concerts in schools and public venues throughout the year.

About us: 

Founded in 2004, the Gaudete Brass Quintet is devoted to presenting serious brass chamber music at the highest level of excellence and to encouraging worldwide appreciation of the art of brass chamber music. The quintet is committed to expanding the brass quintet repertoire by commissioning new works from modern composers as well as historically informed performances of Renaissance music. They have been featured on concert series, radio broadcasts and at universities throughout the country.
