Faculty Profile

Christopher Narloch
NMS Piano Faculty
Junior Faculty

I love teaching students of all ages and levels, from learning a single note on the piano to playing an entire work. My passion is to share this learning adventure with my students toward whatever goal they seek. I like to ask them questions to allow them to be fully engaged and to think actively and creatively. I encourage my students to not only respond to ideas, but to also share their own so that we work together as a team!

Before joining the New Music School faculty, I had maintained my own studio of twenty piano students in Perrysburg, Ohio. I also taught undergraduate class piano courses to music majors for two years. I am a member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and was president of Bowling Green Ohio Music Teachers Association, a student branch of MTNA.

I received a MM in piano performance and pedagogy from Bowling Green State University, and a BM in piano performance and pedagogy with a minor in church music from Viterbo University.  In addition to teaching, I also accompany musicians, play for events, and perform solo recitals.
