Arvin-Ur Gantumur

Arvin-Ur Gantumur is a Mongolian pianist and dedicated educator who recently completed her Master’s Degree in Piano Performance at Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts (CCPA), where she studied with Dr. Winston Choi and Dr. Junghwa Moon Auer. During her time at CCPA, she also served as a Collaborative Graduate Assistant, gaining extensive experience working with both instrumentalists and vocalists.
She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at California State University, Long Beach. Prior to moving to the United States in 2015, she studied at the Mongolian Conservatory of Music and Gyeonggi Arts High School in South Korea.
Arvin has received numerous awards, including First Prize at the Milosz Magin 13th Annual Piano Competition (Paris, 2009), Second Prize at the Naidal International Piano Competition (Ulan-Ude, Russia, 2008), and top honors at the Gyeonggi-do Teenager Piano Competition (Seoul, 2012) and the Sonatina/Sonata Festival (Los Angeles, 2016).
In 2018, she won the LACHSA Concerto Competition, performing the third movement of Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto with the LACHSA Symphony Orchestra. In 2020, she was a winner of the Bob Cole Conservatory Instrumental Concerto Competition, appearing as the featured soloist in Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 3 with the BCCM Symphony Orchestra in 2021.
Known for her artistry, collaborative spirit, and warm presence, Arvin is a valued member of the musical community and brings both passion and experience to her teaching.
