Departmental Recitals
Departmental recitals showcase New Music School students by instrumental department. These recitals happen during the Fall and Spring Semesters and allow students to observe fellow NMS students within their department, performing on the same instrument. The Spring Departmental Recitals will be Sunday March 15th, 2026 on the hour, every hour from 11:00-6:00pm. Please sign-up on your MyMusicStaff Calendar under “Find & Book.”
Champagne Showcase
An evening for our Adult Students to show-off what they’ve been learning all semester. Bubbly and snacks are provided! Our Spring Semester Champagne Showcase will be Friday June 5th, 2026 at 7:00PM. Registration to perform is now CLOSED, but please join us for the performance!
Showcase Recital
Showcase Recital performers are invited according to outstanding growth and performance at their Semester Juries. Showcase Recitals are limited to a small number of performers. Our Spring Semester Showcase Recital will be Sunday May 3rd, 2026 at 4:00pm
Stringstravaganza!
We will be hosting our Stringstravaganza! Recital on SaturdayJune 6th, 2026 from 4:00-6:00pm in Ganz Recital Hall at Roosevelt University. This Recital will feature the students of the NMS String Department.
Performance Classes
Performance Class is a great way to continue to progress by practicing how to perform your piece in front of an audience of other NMS Students! Led by an NMS Faculty Member, you will receive feedback on your repertoire and work on musicality, storytelling, performance protocols, practice strategies, how to battle nerves, and more. Performing in front of others is a critical skill to learn and master. It can help prepare you for recital opportunities, as well as your end of semester jury.
