Departmental Recitals

Departmental recitals showcase New Music School students by instrumental department. These recitals happen during the Fall and Spring Semesters and allow students to observe fellow NMS students within their department, performing on the same instrument. The Fall Departmental Recitals will be Sunday, November 16th 2025 on the hour, every hour from 11:00-6:00pm. Please sign-up on your MyMusicStaff Calendar under “Find & Book.”

Champagne Showcase

An evening for our Adult Students to show-off what they’ve been learning all semester. Bubbly and snacks are provided! Our Spring Semester Champagne Showcase will be Friday, December 5th 2025 at 7:00PM. Registration to perform is now CLOSED, but please join us for the performance!

Showcase Recital

Showcase Recital performers are invited according to outstanding growth and performance at their Semester Juries. Showcase Recitals are limited to a small number of performers. Our Fall Semester Showcase Recital will be Sunday December 14th at 4:00pm

Stringstravaganza!

We will be hosting our Stringstravaganza! Recital on at Grace Episcopal Church in Oak Park in June 2026. This Recital will feature the members of the NMS String Department.
