Daniel Razminia is a 15-year-old pianist currently in tenth grade, where he attends Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, Illinois. He aspires to be a concert pianist.

Daniel started his formal training in classical music in 2022 with Jeffrey Panko at the New Music School in Chicago. He is currently a student of Panko and Mary Sauer, principal keyboardist emeritus of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He has also taken master lessons from internationally-renowned pianists and teachers Steven Osbourne and Alan Chow. 

In the summer of 2023, Daniel performed the first movement of Beethoven’s Concerto No.1 with Conner Gray Covington, assistant conductor of the Utah Symphony Orchestra. In August of 2024, Daniel participated in the Todi International Music Masters Piano Festival in Todi, Italy, where he attended several masterclasses with acclaimed musicians Antonio Pompa-Baldi, Pierre Reach, and Eduardo Delgado.  At Todi, Daniel performed in several solo recitals as well as being featured in a concerto performance with the Todi International Music Masters Orchestra under the baton of Francesca D’Ovidio.

Daniel performed Beethoven’s Pathétique Sonata, Op. 13 No. 8 and Mozart’s Sonata K.332 in the Sonata–Sonatina Festival (CAMTA), where he received the Gold Medal Prize twice and was invited to perform in the Winners’ Concert. In the summer of 2025, Daniel had the special honor of performing in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall after being awarded Second Place in the American Protégé Competition. In addition, Daniel recently competed with the first movement of Chopin’s Concerto Op. 11 No.1 in E minor, winning first prize at the SBC Concerto Competition in the Senior Piano Division and also received Honorable Mention at the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra Stanger Concerto Competition.
