IN Recital — Daniel Razminia
Daniel Razminia (15) will perform his House of Beethoven recital on Sunday April 19th at 3:00pm.
Daniel is a 15-year-old pianist currently in tenth grade, where he attends Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, Illinois. He aspires to be a concert pianist.
Daniel started his formal training in classical music in 2022 with Jeffrey Panko at the New Music School in Chicago. He is currently a student of Panko and Mary Sauer, principal keyboardist emeritus of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. He has also taken master lessons from internationally-renowned pianists and teachers Steven Osbourne and Alan Chow.
IN Recital — Showcase
On Sunday May 3rd, New Music School will be hosting our Spring Showcase Recital. This event will feature stand-out students from our recent Juries, as well as students invited to perform based on competition success throughout the semester.
This event is free and open to the public. We ask out of respect to our performers that all audience members stay for the duration of the recital.
IN Recital — Joseph and Kenneth Gallwas
NMS pianists Joseph and Kenneth Gallwas (17) will be performing their combined House of Ravel recital on Saturday May 23rd at 4:00pm.
This recital will be a celebration of their studies at New Music School as they graduate and pursue what’s next on their musical journeys.
IN Recital — Champagne Showcase
Join our Adult Students on Friday June 5th 2026 at 7:00 for Champagne Showcase!
This recital features many of our Adult Students performing a variety of musical works to showcase what they’ve been studying during the Spring Semester. Bites and bubbly will be served, so you must be 21+ to attend.
IN Recital — Concerto Class Performance with SEEN Chamber Orchestra
Performance Day with SEEN Chamber Orchestra will take place at Ganz Hall at Roosevelt University on June 6, 2026. The performance order will be determined by the conductor.
IN Recital — StringStravaganza! 2026
NMS String Students will perform in an All Department Recital, StringStravaganza! on Saturday June 6th, 2026 from 4:00-6:00pm.
Please join us for an afternoon of string music featuring beginner, intermediate, and advanced students from the House of Bach, House of Mozart, and House of Beethoven. The recital will take place in Ganz Hall at Roosevelt University, and we hope all string students, families, and friends can attend.
IN Recital — Elena Bai
NMS young violinist Elena Bai (5) will perform her Suzuki Book 1 Recital on Sunday March 22nd from 11:00-11:30am.
This recital is a culmination of her progress through the first book of the Suzuki Method as she graduates into Book 2. She will be performing most of the Book 1 repertoire from memory - a huge accomplishment!
IN Recital — Clarissa Bevilacqua, violinist
Clarissa Bevilacqua will perform a program featuring music by Bach, Sollima, Ysaÿe and Hindemith from her new album Mozartiana.

NMS Alumna violinist Clarissa Bevilacqua is known to enchant audiences with her deeply inspiring musicality, and her playing has been described as “luminously elevated” (Gramophone) and “elegant and nimble” (The Strad).
Clarissa's debut solo album, Mozartiana, will be released in Spring 2026 by Berlin Classics, in collaboration with Bayerischer Rundfunk.
IN Recital — NMS Adult Student Valentine’s Event
On Friday February 13th, 2026 at 6:00PM New Music School will be hosting an Adult Student Valentine’s performance at the Astor Hall Study in the 900 Shops. Please join us to support our adult music makers in performance! The theme will be Songs of Love and Romance, and refreshments will be available for purchase at the Bar.
This event is free and open to the public. NMS Adult Students will be performing Valentine’s themed selections.
IN Recital — Panko, Xu, & Cunliffe
NMS Faculty Members Jeffrey Panko, piano, MingHuan Xu, violin, and David Cunliffe, cello, will perform IN Recital on Friday February 6th, 2026 at 7:00PM.
Their program includes Brahms Violin Sonata No. 3 in D Minor, Op. 108 and Chopin’s Cello Sonata in G Minor, Op. 65.
IN Recital — Pamela Spann, mezzo-soprano
NMS Adult Student Pamela Spann, mezzo-soprano performs IN Recital on Sunday November 9th, 2025 at 1:00PM.
Her program will include works by Giacomo Puccini, Alma Mahler, Edgar Elgar, and NMS student and composer Brad Robin.
IN Recital — NMS Adult Student Halloween Event
New Music School will be hosting an Adult Student Halloween performance at the Astor Hall Study in the 900 Shops. Please join us to support our adult music makers in performance! The theme will be spooky, and refreshments will be available for purchase at the Bar.

NMS Student Zarin Mehta will perform his House of Ravel recital on Sunday June 21st, 2025 at 11:00AM.
This recital will be a celebration of Zarin’s studies at New Music School as he graduates and pursues what’s next on his musical journey.

NMS Student Heng-lo Nathan Li will perform his House of Beethoven recital on Sunday June 8th, 2025 at 2:00pm.

IN Recital — Constantine Wang & Victoria Zhang, piano
NMS pianists Constantine Wang and Victoria Zhang will perform their House of Mozart Recitals on Sunday May 18th, 2025 at 4:00PM.
Their program will include works by J.S. Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Schubert, Chopin, Debussy, Liszt, and Jian-Zhong.
IN Recital + NEXT Chamber Artists
Join NMS Faculty Members Steve Yepez, Flute, Jeffrey Panko, piano, and David Cunliffe, cello, along with special guest vocalist Dr. Kelly Hill, mezzo-soprano, IN Recital on Friday May 16th 2025, at 7:00PM.
The program includes works by Weber, Piazolla, Kapustin, Ravel, and NMS Composition Faculty member, Gonzalo Garrido-Lecca.

NMS Faculty member Wenting Shi performs a piano recital on Friday April 25th 2025 at 7:00pm.
This All Liszt Program includes transcriptions of works by August Conradi, Johann Herbeck - Tanzmomente SW 492, Joachim Raff - Tanz Caprice Op. 54, Bedřich Smetana - Polka de salon Op. 7 and Franz Liszt - Piano Sonata in B minor SW 178.
IN Residency + Recital — Steven Osborne, piano
Concert Pianist Steven Osborne will be IN Residency at NMS from March 26th -27th, 2025. He’ll be performing IN Recital Wednesday March 26th, 2025 at 7:00PM.
His program will include works by J.S. Bach, Macmillan, Prokofiev, Poulenc, Grieg, Liadov, Kreisler arr. Rachmaninoff, and Schubert.

NMS Faculty Member Andrei Liquer will perform IN Recital on Friday February 28th, 2025 at 7:00PM.
Join us for works by Beethoven, Villa-Lobos, and Schumann. This is event is free and open to the public.
IN Residency — Clarissa Bevilacqua, violin
Violinist and NMS alumna Clarissa Bevilacqua joins us IN Residency January 17 - 19, 2025. She’ll be giving Private Lessons, leading a Masterclass, and performing IN Recital.
